Care Guide

How to keep your handcrafted pieces beautiful for years to come.

Handcrafted items made from natural materials require a little more care than mass-produced goods, but they also reward that care with lasting beauty. Follow these guidelines to preserve your pieces.

PC

Pottery & Ceramics

  • →Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth after each use.
  • →Avoid soaking in water. The porous clay can absorb moisture and weaken over time.
  • →Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads.
  • →For decorative pieces, dust regularly and keep out of direct sunlight to preserve glazed colors.
  • →Handle with care. Pottery can chip or crack from sharp impacts.
TF

Textiles & Fabrics

  • →Hand wash in cool water with mild detergent. Avoid machine washing unless specified.
  • →Do not wring or twist. Gently press excess water out.
  • →Air dry in shade to prevent fading from direct sunlight.
  • →Iron on low heat or steam from the reverse side.
  • →Store folded in a cool, dry place. Avoid plastic bags. Use breathable cotton storage bags.

Brass & Metalwork

  • →Polish regularly with a dry microfiber cloth to maintain shine.
  • →For deeper cleaning, use a brass-specific cleaner or a paste of flour, salt, and white vinegar.
  • →Avoid exposure to moisture or humidity, which can cause tarnishing.
  • →Do not use steel wool or abrasive materials.
  • →Apply a thin coat of natural wax periodically to protect the finish.

Papyrus & Wall Art

  • →Keep away from direct sunlight, which fades pigments over time.
  • →Do not expose to moisture or humidity.
  • →Dust gently with a dry soft brush. Never use water or cleaning products.
  • →Frame behind UV-protective glass for long-term preservation.
  • →Roll papyrus scrolls with the image facing inward when storing.

Jewelry

  • →Remove before showering, swimming, or exercising.
  • →Clean with a soft cloth after wearing to remove oils and moisture.
  • →Store separately in a pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratching.
  • →Avoid exposure to perfumes, lotions, and chemicals.
  • →For copper pieces, occasional polishing with a lemon-salt mixture restores shine.
